JOB POSTING: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Quality Molded Plastics Ltd. is a long established rotational molding company and we are looking for a permanent full-time Maintenance Technician for our production facility located on the corner of 71st Street & Highway 16 West, Saskatoon, SK.
This position is available immediately.
In general, the Maintenance Technician is responsible to the Production Supervisor for the installation, maintenance and repair of all industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and hand tools in order to maximize production efficiency. As well the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building, facilities and grounds per property owner and QMP management team directive.
- Completion of, or enrollment in a four year Millwright or Industrial Mechanic apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Two years of work experience in the trade is preferred.
- Three years of experience completing maintenance duties is an asset.
- Experienced with the description and function of common industrial mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic components
- Proficient MIG Welding experience is required.
The work schedule is dayshift Monday – Friday.
QMP offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Periodically overtime is required and the potential for minimal call-in work occurs. An EDO schedule can be arranged once the candidate is established with the company.
Wage will be commensurate with the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience of the successful candidate.
A driver’s license and reliable transportation is required as our business is located just outside the city limits on the corner of 71st Street and Hwy 16 West.
